Frosted Collection from CTMH
I have had a blast creating with our Sparkle and Shine paper, but today I decided to grab the Frosted paper pack I bought and actually scrapbook! I think it turned out beautiful and will make a great front page to my Christmas album.

Coloring with Prismacolor Pencils
Now I am coloring my cut image with Prismacolor Pencils. I start by gently coloring the parts I want the darkest. It doesn't take much. Next I take a paper blending pencil and some Goo-Gone..yep that's what I said. I dip the corner of the paper in the goo-gone and working in a circular motion I work from inside the colored area out, filling in the white spaces. When I'm done I go back adding more red where I want it to remain darkest and repeat with the goo-gone until I have reached my desired effect. I continue this process until the image is filled.
Cutting and Coloring intricate Stamp Images
About 11 years ago, when I was pregnant with my 2nd child, my husband and I were in a bad accident. I unfortunately broke several bones in my right hand, thanks to the airbag. In my condition there was nothing the doctors could do for me. Anyway the bones healed or fused themselves together in an odd and sometimes painful way. I've spent the last 10 years finding ways to ease the stress of common things like using scissors. It lead me to a very useful find, cuticle scissors for cutting rounded and intricate stamped images! First stamp your desired image. This one has a center I'd like to cut out so I use my cropodile to punch out as much as I can. Now I use my cuticle scissors to clean up the inside and cut the rest of the image. See how I turn the scissors so the curve matches up the design! So easy! Here's the final cut.

Froggy Terrarium Redux
This is my sons terrarium, home to Mrs.Tuffy the whites tree frog. She is supposed to be a tree frog but spends all of her time in the water, eh whatever!
We have had her for 6+ years and it was time for a home makeover ;)
My hubby added a pond spitter and a supersonic humidifier. The effect turned out pretty awesome and under the black heat lamp at night the plants glow blood red! Very cool for my 10 yr old son!

Easter Card
I have my Easter cards done, I decided I wanted them to have a softer look instead of the usual bunny or chicks. I used damask decor to cut the egg shape and the tulip image happened to fit perfectly. I used Chalk to color the whole thing. I think they turned out pretty, but its very different from my usual designs..what do you think?
Fairy Garden Terrarium
Yes I have been busy with 2 sick kids which of coarse led to me getting sick as well ;( Anyway everything is well again so I thought I'd share my latest project. I love spring but its still a bit cold here in VA so I decided to do some indoor gardening!
I would like to replace the topiary tree I made with a living tiny bonsai if I can find one suitable for this environment . I love the little garden chairs and even sewed cushions for them.

Eat to Live Drink your Greens!?
This mornings breakfast is based on the Drink your Greens recipe from the Eat to Live Book. Most smoothies are open to change to suit your taste. This isn't a "new" recipe but more of a technical recipe. See my husband and I make smoothies using the same ingredients but mine are much smoother. I promise you won't even realize you are drinking spinach!!
I use a Ninja Prep system I purchased at Kmart for 40$. It was an excellent investment that works much better than your standard blender. First I add approx 3 handfuls of baby spinach. I pulse the spinach until it is very fine. Next I add 1 banana broken into pieces, 1tbsp ground flaxseed, 1 1/2 cups of frozen fruit(today I used a blend of mango.pineapple, strawberry) 1/2 c of POM, 1/4c of orange juice (be sure it's pure oj with no added sugar) and 1/4 c of almond milk. Pulse a few times until the frozen fruit is cut up then blend until smooth. YUM this one is so refreshing!!

Play with paper or food..
I'd really rather be playing with the new workshop kit Chantilly from "close to my heart" stephherndon.ctmh.com BUT this diet we are on is eating up all of my free time! Have you ever heard of Eat to live? It's a great book and way of eating, but wow! No easy dinners here. So much peeling and chopping. The rewards have been great though. Yes we have lost weight, but for me NO MIGRAINES for 3 weeks now! Absolutely Amazing!! In the days to come I will be sharing my recipes for Paper Crafting and for Eat to Live diet...stay tuned...
